Although you never can predict the sort of mood your baby will wake up in, we had no worries when 5 month old Hunter, from Wolverton in Milton Keynes, popped along to the studio for some baby photography yesterday. The short journey from Milton Keynes was enough for him to grab 40 winks and arrive fresh as a daisy for his time in front of the camera.
Sitting with support was easy, although he preferred to sit forward to chew his funky white trainers which wasn’t such a good look, so with lots of distraction from mum we got him upright for our favourite range of intimate portraits. Hunter wasn’t phased at all by the photography lights, the camera or the studio at all and he seemed to enjoy the attention.
The short off peak journey from Milton Keynes means a photo shoot like this can be something special; an event to brighten the week. It was lovely to have Hunter’s nanny along today too, especially as she joined in and caught his attention to make him laugh when his mum held him which made a great shot, as shown.
This shoot was very relaxed. Hunter was at ease and having an easy going mum really complimented his contentment in the studio setting. Family participation both to entertain him and to hold him for a mother-and-child family portrait also helped to keep the shoot fluid and reassuring for Hunter. When shoots run like this it’s a dream!
We love the shot lying on his tummy when you get a glimpse of Hunter’s playfulness and fun side. The caption for this shot should be ‘raaaaar’!
We took our time and it paid off, the shoot was wrapped up in super quick time as he was so content, and we built in a few rest shots lying on his back as all that attention was tiring…. with great opportunity to capture a big yawn!
A Massive thanks to Hunter, mum and nan for a great shoot, hope you enjoy the results…
