Family Portrait Photography Northampton; Baby Oliver With Mum And Dad
Introducing baby Oliver and his family from Northampton. Mum and Dad popped by the studio at the weekend with 8 week old Oliver for a relaxed and natural family portrait shoot that had been arranged by Oliver’s proud Auntie. Auntie wanted to give her Brother and Sister-in-law a special new baby gift to celebrate the birth of their first child.
When the family arrived at the studio, little Oliver was awake and ready for action. Unlike a newborn shoot, where the baby is required to be in a deep sleep, when baby is that little bit older like Oliver, it’s lovely to have them awake and interacting with their surroundings.
We started the shoot my laying Oliver onto a fluffy blanket covered beanbag and letting him have a good old kick around. For such a young baby, Oliver had a lovely varied set of expressions and he was quite happy to lay there for a while and check out what was going on.
After a quick feed and a coffee for Mum and Dad, we decided to change the studio around and photograph baby Oliver with his family. First off was Dad and no, contrary to our suspicions, Oliver wasn’t sick down his back! We captured some gorgeous father and baby photography, even though Oliver was now pretty floppy and telling us he needed a sleep.
Mum was next up for a cuddle, capturing some really tender and intimate Mother and baby portraits. Finally, we ended the shoot, quickly before Oliver fell asleep, by capturing a lovely set of natural family portraits, my personal favourite images from the mornings shoot!
Overall a massive thanks to Mum, Dad and of course Oliver, for such a wonderfully relaxed family portrait shoot. Really looking forward to presenting you with the full set of portraits in a few days time at your viewing.
