Where will my sessions take place?
Your photoshoot will take place at our cosy studio here in the rural Northamptonshire village of Brixworth. We have off street parking, a comfortable seating area for you to relax plus copious amounts of tea, coffee, water and biscuits!
How long will my photo shoot take?
We understand you’re a super busy parent and that the attention span of a child is pretty rubbish so we’ll try to complete your shoot in 1-2 hours.
What happens if my child throws a tantrum?
Don’t worry, we’ve got 2 kids of our own so have seen it all! We also do this professionally everyday so have become Jedi masters at dealing with behaviour. From the super shy and cautious to the full on Raaaa! types, we have never yet failed to get a gorgeous selection shots.
What should I bring?
Happy, relaxed, well fed and well rested children… oh and bags of patience for yourself too! Rest assured that we’ll send you a detailed “How to prepare guide” before you come for your shoot.
Photoshop, editing & retouching?
Subtle, restrained and professional retouching removes the non-permanent blemishes that would otherwise distract from your child’s natural features. Bogeys and snot are never a good look, especially when magnified in your feature piece above the fireplace! Whereas permanent features such as moles, birthmarks and fine hairs remain untouched. We practise an authentic and ethical approach to editing.
Do you only photograph in black and white?
We capture your images in colour then convert the majority of your portraits to black and white. Our clients love the timeless simplicity of monochrome however we can supply you colour portraits if requested.
What happens after my photo shoot?
We’ll invite you back to the studio at a convenient time, evenings are available, to view all your images plus choose how you’d like to present them. We have a studio full of beautiful artwork samples and we’re here to help design any bespoke pieces you may prefer. We promise no pushy hard sell as we want you to be 100% happy with your experience!
How much does a photo shoot cost?
We charge £50 shoot fee to reserve your date. We’ll send you a secure online payment link to complete your booking along with some details on how to prepare for your shoot and how to find us etc
