When should I book my session?
We’re a high quality, low volume studio with limited sessions available, therefore we recommend you book early. If you decide to leave booking until after your baby is born, then please note that our newborn sessions take place within the first 14 days of birth when your baby is still foetal and sleepy… please don’t leave it too late!

Why will my newborn session last so long?
We are 100% baby led and baby care is our top priority. Safety and comfort is prioritised in order to create the right conditions for the photoshoot. Some babies will arrive super sleepy and barely open their eyes for the whole session while others are more curious of the new world around them. Allow 3 hours for your session, and possibly longer if your little one is a light sleeper or a sibling is being included.

Where do the sessions take place?
Newborn sessions take place at our cosy studio here in the rural Northamptonshire village of Brixworth. We have off street parking, a comfortable seating area for you to relax plus copious amounts of tea, coffee, water and biscuits! Relax and watch the magic!

What should I bring?
Bring what you would normally pack in your nappy bag plus an extra pair of clothes for you, just in case. Make sure you have plenty of milk for baby as well, sometimes it takes an extra feed or two to induce the all important sleep. It will get warm in the studio so consider wearing layers. Please also consider bringing a dummy to help comfort and settle your baby.

I don’t know when my baby will arrive so how do I book?
We’ll pencil you in a provisional date 7-14 days after your due date and ask that we keep in touch to tweak this as needed. We allow for plenty of flexibility in our diary. How much do sessions cost? We charge £50 shoot fee for newborn photoshoots to reserve your date (allow up to 3 hours).

Do you only photograph in black and white?
We’ll capture your images in colour then convert the majority of your portraits to black and white.  Most of our clients love the timeless simplicity of monochrome however we can supply colour portraits if requested.
