Introducing a lovely young family from Northampton, who popped by the studio last week for their family portrait photography. It’s always great to finally meet a client after you’ve been chatting on Facebook for some time, and I first chatted with this mum several years ago when I first started photographing children; sometimes these things can take a little organising!
4 year old Leyton was the first to have his portraits shot whilst his new baby brother Lennon had time to wake up and chill out. Leyton was extremely confident and natural in front of the camera, his cheeky little character shining brightly. No shyness here.
Next up was 5 week old baby Lennon. I think mum had enjoyed a trip to the shops as she brought a whole suitcase full of lovely baby clothes for Lennon to model. Although we decided to photograph him naked for the majority of the shoot I’m pretty sure all those new clothes won’t go to waste!
For a 5 week old baby, Lennon was surprisingly expressive and treated us to a fab range of wry grins and inquisitive stares that you’d expect from a older baby. Mind you, having a caring and doting big brother like Leyton would make anyone smile!
Mum came with a definite idea of what she wanted to get out of the shoot and some family portraits was very much on her hit list of images to get. Photographing two siblings with a 4 year age gap can prove pretty challenging but again Leyton was a little superstar and had the patience of a much older child. Some lovely shots to cherish.
